Was gonna hit you up on Twitter but I'll just say here - I watched 3:10 to Yuma earlier this year, myself, and what a marvel that film is. All the implications b/t Wade and Mrs. Evans sure are something else.
By chance, I ended up seeing Butcher's Crossing at TIFF last year! I must admit that when I saw it, I was not aware that it was based on a novel. I unfortunately never got around to writing anything cogent or remotely thoughtful about the film that I could refer to now. That being said, I recall that it captures the beauty and majesty of both the animals they seek to destroy and the environment they find themselves in. Cage gives a memorable performance and it was certainly enjoyable to see under optimal viewing conditions at a festival.
Somehow I was under the impression that the film never found a distributor, but according to Letterboxd, it's available on Apple TV, Amazon, etc. I guess it just never made it out into theatres, which is a shame!
IMO, Hell or High Water is a great modern take (though now a little dated) western set in the great recession
Hell or High Water is excellent. Great rec!

This sounds like they've captured the novel reasonably well, as far as it goes. I ought to check the movie out! Thank you!
